TAOH Africa X Hospital Rooms

TAOH, in collaboration with Hospital Rooms and renowned Nigerian artist Nengi Omuku will be having a Fundraiser that will showcase the impacts of art on healthcare environments. The event, scheduled for December 16th at the The Institute of Contemporary Arts in London, will feature Omuku’s artworks, which explore themes of identity, nature, and cultural heritage through expressive paintings on traditional Nigerian Sanyan. Her work is celebrated for bridging physical and emotional landscapes, making her an ideal partner for this collaboration with Hospital Rooms, a charity dedicated to transforming clinical mental health spaces into nurturing environments that foster creativity, recovery, and healing.

Founded by Niamh White and Tim A Shaw, Hospital Rooms collaborates with leading contemporary artists to reimagine mental health facilities, creating spaces that feel personal, comforting, and hopeful. Omuku’s contributions to this mission include impactful installations, such as her vibrant hot-air balloon-inspired mural for a hospital in Norwich and a calming mural for a locked intensive psychiatric ward in London.

Proceeds from this fundraiser will support TAOH’s ongoing work in refurbishing healthcare units across Africa and offering therapeutic art workshops to service users. We invite you to join us in December to support this cause, celebrate the transformative impact of art on wellbeing, and witness the power of creativity in transforming lives.
